The transport industry has faced considerable challenges during the past year. DigiCore Fleet Management has helped many transporters address these challenges by managing their fleets using information provided by the Ctrack product range. As a result, the Ctrack Solo and Ctrack Assist products remain the South African product of choice for customers wishing to control costs and improve business efficiencies.
Putco, Xstrata, ER24, Barloworld, Unitrans Megabus and the Reclamation Group are some examples of customers now experiencing these benefits. Although new vehicle sales were disappointing for the period, this has not affected the exceptional growth recorded by the company.
To further assist the sales process, DigiCore Financial Services was established during the year. This division will enhance the Ctrack product offering by shortening the sales cycle and keeping it seamless when customers acquire the product of their choice.
DigiCore Fleet Management continues to roll out tenders acquired in the previous year, supported by the maintenance revenue streams for these implementations. In South Africa, the SAPS has already installed over 20 000 Ctrack Solo units to enhance service levels. A number of tenders have been submitted for adjudication in the first quarter of the new financial year, and given the successful implementation of a focused government support team, prospects for securing some of these tenders are encouraging.
Resources have been allocated to provide the taxi industry with a customised solution that will enhance the safety of occupants and improve efficiencies in delivering a better public transport service. This has been well received by taxi associations nationally.
The Customers for Life strategy has helped cement relationships with customers and ensured improved service levels and value-added benefits by frequent business solution and application consulting. This will remain a priority area.
Our empowerment partners, Amabubesi and Western Breeze, have greatly assisted in promoting the company and its range of Ctrack products as preferred solutions for vehicle owners in various market sectors. This combined activity will contribute to the growth of the company across all industries.
Our partners have also been instrumental in guiding our employment equity plan, which is making good progress, and are having a positive effect on other areas of the group. This will help us improve the level 4 broad-based black economic empowerment certification we received this year from BEESA.
In the coming year, DigiCore Fleet Management will continue to focus on customer excellence, cost control and improved efficiencies.
